SOBAT or PAINDA, a beloved Pakistani delicacy, is a rich and flavorful chicken dish that showcases the country's culinary heritage. INGREDIENTS
1. 3 medium size Onion
2. 5-6 Tomatoes
3. 2 kg Chicken
4. 7-8 Garlic Cloves
5. 1 cup Oil
6. 2 table spoon Red chili powder
7. 2 table spoon Coriander Powder
8. 1 table spoon Cumin Powder
9. 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
10. 2 teaspoon Salt / per taste
11. 1 table poon tomato paste
12. A handful of fresh Coriander
13. 4-5 Green Chilies
14. 6 Glass of Hot Water
15. 1 cup Yogurt
16. 2 table spoon Garam masala
17. 3-4 Eggs
RECIPE
1. Take a wok and add oil to it. Heat it and add chopped Onion to it.
2. When it turn golden brown add garlic paste to it. Saute 40-50 seconds and then add Chicken to it. Fry it on high flame for 2-3 minutes.
3. When it change the color then add Tomato puree to it.
👉 Add tomatoes and water into a juicer jug and grind for 1 minute and make puree.
4. Add Red Chili Powder, Turmeric Powder, Cumin Powder, and Coriander Powder in a bowl. Mix it and then add it to the wok.
👉 You can also use SOBAT masala or Shan Salan Masala instead of all these masalas.
5. Add Salt and then add Tomato Paste to it.
👉 If store-bought tomato paste is not available then you can skip this step.
6. Add chopped green chilies and chopped fresh coriander to it.
7. Add hot water to it. Cover and leave to cook until chicken is tender. This time you can also add potatoes if you like the taste.
👉 At this time, its lid should be placed in such a way that it leaves a little space for the heat to escape.
8. When the chicken is cooked, sprinkle some Garam Masala and Chopped Coriander on top for garnishing.
9. After that, do not stir it and cover it and leave it for 20-30 minutes.
👉 By doing this, all the oil comes to the top and if you want to remove that oil, you can remove it.
10. Now boil the eggs, peel and then cut t into two pieces and place them in a separate plate.
11. Now to make the plate, take a large roti and break it into pieces and put it in a plate, then add the curry, add chicken pieces, and then add the boiled eggs, along with onions and raita. The best kind of SOBAT is ready to eat.
